The sytem works great and other than a few scuffs, everything is in good shape.




I have modified it so that it can be powered by the car instead of a 9v battery.

Do you need to place some sort of transponder at trackside for this to work?

yup, in the top pic its the one on the bottom, labeled 'transmitter', that sits trackside and is usually powered by a spare car battery.
