I'm still holding out hope for the 710's in smaller sizes as well.

I had a set of Ecstas last year that I put just over 1600 miles on, drove to and from several long distance solo events (farthest 160 miles each way), and both my wife and I raced - about 24-28 runs each weekend. They were toast by the end, but wore like iron. I now have some Victoracers which I hope will wear as well.

Well, I ran my first event on these guys yasterday.
I'm pretty sure I turned the FTD (excluding carts), though they weren't posting the times so I'm not 100% positive. One Miata looked like he was running pretty fast. Anyway-
First three runs were done with (gasp) the traction control on. I forgot to turn it off.
34.7 (cleaning run- I was in group 1, so the course was uberslick)
33.7 (+1)
36.0 (TC stepped in BAD and killed my time. Until this run, I didn't realize TC was on..yes, I'm a dumazzz)
Turned off the TC
33.8 (+1)
33.0
32.3
I just wish I could've been more consistant. The course was extremely bizarre and a found myself having a difficult time looking far enough ahead because there were simply TOO MANY cones. They were everywhere... I walked the stupid thing like 20 times and I still caught myself not looking very far ahead- even WALKING. I couldn't pickout the important ones on the fly because they were masked in the middle of all the others... It was extremely frustrating.
I ran 36/35 psi f/r with pretty good results. It was fairly neutral unless I did something stupid (Like massive throttle oversteer on the last run ). Overall, I'm pretty happy. I have to take the tires off tonight (it started raining as I left the track so I didn't feel like changing them), so we'll see how well they wore.
