First Gen for potential Auto X/Track Day car?

I use to autocross my FB out in the tidewater area until they lost the ACU-4 site. I really dislike the pungo site because the surface is terrible and small. I also know the owner of the megasquirt blue FC that runs out there too. If you ever get an FB and needs some assistance I am not too far from you since I work at Joint Base Langley Eustis.
I've talk to the guy with the blue RX-7 and his girlfriend a few times. That car is really quick. Especially since they've dialed in the tuning a bit more. Last event she got really close to running the FTD out at Pungo.
I'm still really up in the air on what to pick up, but that's why I'm starting looking into everything really earlier. I want a lot of cars, but don't have the time/money to buy them all.
FB would probably be the easiest to maintain, but the most expensive for initial build. RX-8 would be the best out of the box probably. I'd love to have another FC, especially a TII, but the cost of a clean TII is similar to that of a used RX-8 around here, and then you get all of the problems of building on a chassis that's over 20 years old unless you get lucky enough to find a clean one.
Decisions, decisions haha.

Nice. They are picking ACU-4 back up. Should be 6 events at least I think they said this coming season.

First time I ran I was a little scared that I'd spin into the water. Some of the turns they set up are pretty quick, and you'll run straight at the water. Not a good place to lock up and slide haha. It's really pretty safe though for the most part.
