Now that this thread has morphed into a seat discussion, are there any recs on a street/track seat (with emphasis on track)? I've read the 'what fits' thread, but asking those in the know that are communicating on this thread.
Mahjik, excellent points on the street limitations for a racing seat
Thx, Tom

The Sparco Evo would be similar to the Momo Start. I'll bet Fritz will give you a better deal on the Momo than you'll get on the Sparco. The Momo was practically new when I sold the car to Fritz. I had a few track weekends with it and none of them during inclement weather.
Do you already have a rollbar? The other thing, I'm going to add to Fritz's comment about a halo seat. If you drive the car on the street still, do not get a halo seat. You won't be able to use the stock seat belts with it, and once you are strapped in with a harness, you cannot see well enough to the side with a halo seat for street driving. If the car is a pure track only car, a halo seat + roll protection + HANs + 5/6 point harness will give you great driver protection.

Come to VIR in June and drive with me with either BMW (n course super fun) or Chin motorsports (full course) and you can have the start seat for 200
Really hard to have a fast safe street car that's also a track car, it's a difficult compromise.
Driving around town with a steering wheel that doesn't have an air bag and using the stock belt is a pretty big risk, I also do it on occasion but not a wise safety move.

Unfortunately, when it comes to safety, you can't really do it in pieces as all of them work together. If you aren't ready for a rollbar, I would not go with a fixed back seat at this time. However, there are several reclineable seats on the market which can offer good support for performance driving (and retain the OEM seat belts).

Right, jack of all traits is master of none. Unfortunately, can't yet commit to a full on track car. First, mine is too pretty (IMHO) to hack up, second, you've got all that other assicated baggage with a track car (trailer etc), and most importantly, you can't enjoy it when not on the track.
Thanks for the tips
