FD Kirkey racing seat question

I've seen people install the Kirkey Racing seats model 57 in their FD. But nobody mentions what size option they are taking.

I would like to know because i'd like to know which one to purchase, because the option is 15-16-17 or 18.

I'd like to have minimal modifications to do, the most I want to do is to make an adapter plate for the brackets.

What did you kirkey seat owners have?

Thx

Those size options are to fit YOU, not the car. The way I size drivers up for their seats is to have them sit with thier back against the wall and measure across the hips while sitting, in thier driving suit. This is the size seat we will order in.

Yea I noticed but the reason why I was asking was that, the more inches you ask for, the larger the base is going to be. I wanted to know uptil what size will fit the FD without issues.

How are you fitting it? What do you mean by issues?

I put two "16s in my FB. I mounted them on Corbeau sliders and a custom aluminum platform.

You biggest issue will be if you buy a seat that doesn't fit you.

it doesn't matter if the seat fits the car but not you

But you do need the seat to fit the car, too. Some cars just won't tolerate some seat styles due to the tunnel or hitting the door panel or ...

Yes, but if you custom mount them you can fit just about any standard race seat.
