engine swap justification!!

i was cruising youtube and a multitude of video archives,in every aspect of racing there was some *** hat that swapped a small block or some god forsaken piston engine in there rx,the amount of modification that went into there builds showed no
improvement for power gain or any other aspect of justification as to why it was done. redneck sluring:: damn rotary motor dont make no power, v8's now thats power" so i went to compare every type of automotive racing league to see what was better ..nhra had a record set in funny car for a blown nitrous meth injected big block and didnt even break 2500whp,then i saw a video of a 4 rotor single turbo
2670 whp and every pass he made he spun tires the whole length of the track
never left 2nd gear and still pulled like a low low 8... and the piston car ran a 7.6 and hooked up perfectly. drifting: guy slaps a 302 in an fc with 500 whp and cant keep a good line or even keep a hold of the car to save his life. not to mention jtp's
fc boasting a whopping 300+ and less modifications and still out classed the ford powered shovel. scca road coarse club: rotary equipped vehicles out do anything
with a v8 equipped rx series car...if a piston guy told me he new of a monster piston car i immediatly knew of a rotary car that was better. if you bought a an enzo ferrari, would you rip out the engine and put a 442 in it. if you answer yes than you might be a red neck.
thats why japan never gives us the good stuff, cause they know jimmybob bodine jr
is gunna yank it out for something that has a minimum requirement i.q level
of po-dunk.
i just wanted to get that off my mind,be cause im a purest, i believe in the purity of originality....to an extent

pistons suck!!!! that is all.

I agree. with the purist point of view. And i argue it everytime somoeone tells me to drop a V8 in my FC. But I understand where they are coming from. I think it comes down to cost and Torque (people have a misconception of Torque being tons of power). V8's are a dime a dozen over here. So personally i would say V8's have more bang for the buck. But dont get me wrong i love when the rotary goes HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I didn't pull the rotary out because I'm a redneck. As stated, with a V8 I can get more bang for my buck. I think rotary engines are neat, I'd take a TII if someone gave it to me.

... But I'd much rather drive my V8 powered FB.

The day a Top Fuel Dragster is powered by a rotary is the day I put a rotary back in my FD. Is that enough justification?

"scca road coarse club: rotary equipped vehicles out do anything"

Uhh... they're competitive in EProd and maybe GT-3, but other than that... I mean seriously. Glen Jung runs a 13B in GT-1 and the revived Trans Am series, but at runoffs and in the Trans Am races it looks to be a mid-pack car. GT-2 they're pretty well outclassed... ALMS, the air restrictors hurt the 3-rotor BK car (and a lot of other things) plus it weighed more so was never competitive at all...

Oh, and funny cars are blown nitromethane engines putting out around six thousand horsepower, not two and a half, and the record ET is 4.646 seconds.

Who cares what other people do with their cars? I'm doing a peripheral port 13B because I'm a nut; other people can do whatever they want.

Ding ding ding, thread over.

A real "car guy" would appreciate any car another driver builds for themselves.
