Dust Covers

Do you guys remove the brake dust covers from the back of your calipers? I've read they can decrease cooling efficiency during high speed braking (autocross).

I don't see how removing them can cause any adverse conditions, especially while autocrossing. If anything, they reduce airflow to the center of the rotor, which is where the air needs to be to get drawn through the rotor vanes. I'd say ditch 'em.

That is unless you use them like banzaitoyota, and hook up ducting to them for brake cooling.
