I'm interested in watching the FD in action on a racetrack. I dont want just clips, im talking about movies that are not amateur filmed.

its very good
I think one can go faster than normal config.
Due to more downhill sections. Turn 9-6, you can get alot of speed. Turns 5 is also a drop now, and 2-1 also allows for a big gain in speed going into the front straight

been driving tracks for about a year. 2 months with the FD.

Total events, about 10 or so

Is it cool?

If so I can host it, but I'd prefer to change it to divx format. I could probably get it down by about 100 megs less if I change it.

Anyhow, you can hit me up on AIM at wcomisthedevil if you want to send it to me.

heheh "oldie". Nice video!...I finally just found out why the hell there's so much damn wind noise; you guys drive with the windows down! I bet you would run a lot faster, especially on the straights with them rolled up...not to mention, make much better sound recordings for me

Point-By:
Most track events allow passing mostly with the slower driver clearly indicating to a faster driver to overtake with a hand signal outside the window.

In Cossie's video, I do not see the silver M3 driver giving a point-by before Cossie passes him even though he did go off the racing line.

Cossie probably never gives a point-by...
he doesn't have a rear-view mirror.

I have RSA's vid and some others on my ftp... I couldn't squash his down using divx because every time I did, the first couple minutes was jittery and then it would smooth out... so I just gave up for now

ftp.zeroglabs.com

user: rx7
pass: rx7

in "Car_Movies_2/movies12" called "Glen.MPG"

Mr. Stock,

Most groups I've run with have relaxed the rules on point bys, most encourage it but don't require it.

You mean if and when I do a track event here in Cali, I won't get a tennis elbow giving out point-by's???
Thank goodness!

[hijack]I am already here. I have been here for the last 6 months. My car, on the other hand, is in NJ at my parents'. It is being picked up this week by Intercity to be transported to SoCal. Then it will be another month or so to sort out some issues I have with the car and then hopefully hit some tracks. [/hijack]

Hahahaha. I find that if you just drive crazy people will pull off the track and park. I have always wanted to get one of those giant foam hands like you see at the basketball games and use that, but I have yet to figure out how to drive the car while wearing one!
