Do u have any movies on roadracing with FD's?

I'm interested in watching the FD in action on a racetrack. I dont want just clips, im talking about movies that are not amateur filmed.

oldie?

Silkworm 02-11-03 01:21 AM

was that you Cossie? How'd you like T-hill backwards?

How long you been driving?

PauLC

Cossie 02-11-03 03:26 AM

its very good
I think one can go faster than normal config.
Due to more downhill sections. Turn 9-6, you can get alot of speed. Turns 5 is also a drop now, and 2-1 also allows for a big gain in speed going into the front straight

been driving tracks for about a year. 2 months with the FD.

Total events, about 10 or so

Is it cool? :)

If so I can host it, but I'd prefer to change it to divx format. I could probably get it down by about 100 megs less if I change it.

Anyhow, you can hit me up on AIM at wcomisthedevil if you want to send it to me.

How can this be an oldie when I did the event on Feb 8th?
hee

Chronos 02-15-03 07:22 PM

heheh "oldie". Nice video!...I finally just found out why the hell there's so much damn wind noise; you guys drive with the windows down! I bet you would run a lot faster, especially on the straights with them rolled up...not to mention, make much better sound recordings for me ;) :D

Mr. Stock 02-15-03 07:51 PM

You have to drive with the window down for point-by's...

Chronos 02-15-03 09:29 PM

what are point-by's?

Mr. Stock 02-15-03 10:02 PM

Point-By:
Most track events allow passing mostly with the slower driver clearly indicating to a faster driver to overtake with a hand signal outside the window.

In Cossie's video, I do not see the silver M3 driver giving a point-by before Cossie passes him even though he did go off the racing line.

Mr. Stock 02-15-03 10:09 PM

Cossie probably never gives a point-by...
he doesn't have a rear-view mirror.:p:

Wargasm 02-16-03 02:27 PM

I have RSA's vid and some others on my ftp... I couldn't squash his down using divx because every time I did, the first couple minutes was jittery and then it would smooth out... so I just gave up for now :)

I dont usually see cars behind me....*ducks*

JUST KIDDING

I broke my mirror goofing aroudn with it

The M3 is a friend...he already told me he was going to point me by if I come close to him...:)

And like you said, he did go off line for me

Silkworm 02-17-03 12:15 AM

wargasm,

What other cool vids you got? You got so many directories, but I don't want to download everything! :)

hehe

Downloading Glen.mpg, back in an hour or so :)

Mr. Stock,

Most groups I've run with have relaxed the rules on point bys, most encourage it but don't require it.

[hijack]I am already here. I have been here for the last 6 months. My car, on the other hand, is in NJ at my parents'. It is being picked up this week by Intercity to be transported to SoCal. Then it will be another month or so to sort out some issues I have with the car and then hopefully hit some tracks. [/hijack]

Hahahaha. I find that if you just drive crazy people will pull off the track and park. :p: I have always wanted to get one of those giant foam hands like you see at the basketball games and use that, but I have yet to figure out how to drive the car while wearing one!

Cossie 02-17-03 02:03 PM
