Custome Race Wheel Specs...
I am running a 2nd gen in SCCA F-Prepared auto-x
What is the offset and back space to run the following (size - width):
Front: 16 X 12
Rear: 16 X 12 or
16 X 14
I need the information before I can order wheels.
Thanks
(sorry for the cross post, need the info...)

Well, you might want to start off reading the rules (http://www.scca.com/_filelibrary/File/2005SoloRules.pdf), since a 16x14 is illegal in every prepared class. And 12" get you an extra 100lbs. Why 12" instead of 10"?
But to answer your question, you have to modify the lower strut mount to push it away from the tire, if you want to run 12". That is with a 5" or 5.5" backspacing IIRC. I think a 16x10 with 5" backspacing will clear everything up front (except the fender).
Good luck

You are correct about the rules....I was aware prepared classes are limited to 12" width.
10 vs 12 is a matter of opinion on if it is worth the weight penalty. The weight penalty may be worth it if the wider wheels allows you to run a much softer tire compound.
I was interested in the 16X14 for another project.
Thanks for you input....it's appreciated
