Coolsuit wiring/mounting
Coolsuit wiring/mounting
Looks like Im getting a 986 cool suit for X-mas so now I have a few questions for you folks...
1) Easiest place to tap power and ideas for moutning on/off switch? Looks like it just needs 12v power and a ground however my class requires me to keep a full orginal dash ('84).
2) Besides the obvious take out the passanger seat and mount it there where are the possible mounting locations? (14.5"X11"X11.5")

Your running Spec7?
You have to keep the dash, but are allowed (generally speaking) to add in a switch or two here or there.
Generically, I mount the coolsuit hardware as far back in the passenger seat well as I can. In the FC, this is not possible as I have other stuff mounted there, so it is mounted behind the driver in the small "well" where the rear bins or seats would be. Since not everyone has a coolsuit, it is removable.
If your near Denver you are welcome to come by and check out the hows and whys of the FC race car.
