Connecticut Auto-X

does anyone know of any Connecticut based auto cross..."places" (cant think of a better word) and also what would be needed for me to run my street car at the events? i would love to get some track time because i want to become a better driver as im sure all of you can understand! i just have an incredible passion for cars, and seem to learn rather quickly. so any information you might know and could send this on his way i would be for joy! haha

Thanks
Zak

Head over to www.autocross.com and check it out. Here's the listed clubs in Connecticut but there may be more:

In general autocross doesn't require anything of the car other than for it to be in reliable condition. Contact a club near you.

I've run with CART for the past two years. They're a good club and put emphasis on seat time. Their site in Bristol is a bit harsh on suspension due to ruts and cracks in the pavement. I'd recomend making the trip up to Fort Devens in Ayer, MA to run with NER/SCCA or NESCC. They're more student focused and have loaner helmets. They run a much more organized event too.

I hope to see you at some events this year.
