Nice car. Where though in the GCR is a 12pt cage legal for ITS?

It isn't really 12 points. It is an IT type cage with the standard 6 points, and the optional two points to the forward footwell. Rene must have been smoking something when he was typing.

Some drag racer probably counted the number of tubes going to the plates and told him its a 12 point. We just count plates.

So it's an 8pt, cool. From what you have in the ad and from someone who has spent the last 8 months trying to build a top ITS car, I can say your price of $16k is a great deal! I would much rather have bought this and tweaked to my liking rather than start from scratch. Good luck with the sale.

No offense but I think your asking price is a little above what the market is paying for these days. Hey, it's no skin off my back, but $16k is in the neighborhood of a fully built Speedsource or ISC car.

A quick look in the IT classifieds gives us (for $8500):

http://itforum.improvedtouring.com/f...howtopic=11569

or for $8k

http://itforum.improvedtouring.com/f...showtopic=8830

and

http://itforum.improvedtouring.com/f...howtopic=10833

Now the 512 rear is nice, and the car looks fairly sorted, but I think $16k is just too far out of the ballpark. Under $12k maybe, if there are a lot of very fresh parts on the car. Like I said, I don't care because I'm not gonna buy the car. But I just wanted to give you a few references with the current market prices.

Good luck in any case - if you get your asking price, more power to ya!

Cool. My mistake then. However just some friendly advice - I could not tell the history of the car from what you mentioned. It would be great to give more information, like some of the pedigree, like the fact that it's an ISC car, like some laptimes.

There is nothing on your page that helps me differentiate your car from the other three that I listed. Some futher investigation (tracking down race results, etc.) could provide me with that info, but you should really be making it easier to check out. If you are going to sell a top-of-the-line built car, you really have to show why it is $8k better than the other three examples I gave. More and better pictures, better details and some car history would help here.

Just some (hopefully) constructive criticism.

Again, good luck with the sale.

Actually, I didn't notice, which was the point of my post. See above.

Also, all three I posted appear to be running and have (I am assuming) current logbooks, so they are technically "race-ready".

I can vouch for Renes car as being top notch, with no expense spared in the components. Plus the guys a professional race mechanic, and its been immaculatelly taken care of. Many of you guys have seen pics of the IT-s car I just finished building, and I can vouch that it came out to be WAY over his asking price. If I were to do it over again I would jump on this deal in a second.

I think just about everyone can say that the IT car they have for sale/sold cost them WAY more to build than what they are/were selling it for.

Good luck with the sale!

thanks....and yes if i was tryin to get out of the car wht it has in it then i would be asking $30,000.....but i know thats a rediculous to ask that for and old car already. when i bought this car 2 years ago the guy we bought it off of showed us everything he had paper work wise and it added up 2 lil over $30,000.

thats why im askin $15,500obo i think thats a fair price others mite not think so but everyone is entitled to there opinion.
