Car dyno tuned last night

Dyno tuned new set up
Late night at Danzio Performance in Lake Elsinore (So Cal) Chris at Danzio really knows his stuff. First about the car: it is a series 4 (AE) It is an open track/ time trial car. it has had a steady build up now for 2 years. It weighs 2560 without the driver. I did not want it to get too crazy, so our goals were early and alot of torque and about 400 HP on a Mustang Dyno. Mods and dyno sheet are here:

We started with a very large steet port with some porting tricks that we have learned from porting a local SCCA E prod NA car. Intakes were port matched and honed. Custom 3in down pipe with very minimal bends. The first 14" comes straight out of the turbo. The therory was to help with spool up. Everything really seemed to work together on the dyno. We used pump gas so our boost target was just under 15 psi. During the initial 3500 rpm pulls it was making 250 ft/lbs at 7 psi. Things really looked promising. Chris really took his time adjusting the primary inj and secondary inj staging where most of the hicups occure when you run large secondaries in our cars. He smoothed out the transition nicely. After this was done he tuned it at 7 psi at 500 rpm increments to redline. Then we turned up the boost until it was just below one bar.And repeated the process. Final pulls dyno sheet is in my photos. The car made 393 (mustang dyno) hp and just over 300 Ft/lb @ 13.3 psi with the torque band following the hp nicely. Just what we wanted for this type of car. We could have easily given it more boost and more revs and easily been in the mid 400s, but keeping our goals in mind it was time to call it a night (1:00 am) I ran the car on the street when the boost came on I think my back cracked! All in all we were very pleased with the results and the tune. now it's time for thewide body fenders and cage! If you are looking for a tuner in So Cal look up Chris at www.danzioperformance.com You will be pleased. Just overlook the pistons in his logo!
