camber plates for 1st gen from 2nd gen
Hey guys, I didn't get very much love on the 1st gen forum, so i thought i'd try this here.
I have a 82 gsl that sees some autox, and i'd like to dial in a bit of camber. I know that ground control has 1 set of plates that are used all gen rx7s. I was wondering if by the same logic, I can get a set of cusco plates on ebay (which are about 100 cheaper) that are meant for a second gen, and use them on my first gen? that's also a set made by a company named t3, i guess same question as well...
Thanks,
Alvin

I would think they would work, you just may need to drill some different holes in your chassis. The only issue I can think of would be the total diameter of the camber plate and then if it has to mount up under the strut tower. I'm pretty sure the FC towers are a little bigger(dia.). If you can get that info that should tell you if they will work. The other option would be to grind them down to fit if they are to big.
There isn't much room for inward movement of the strut unless you have smaller dia. springs.
The other issue would be if they also adjust caster, then you wouldn't need to be 100% accurate on your new holes.
