That's pretty much where the idea came from. I was browsing the for sale section and saw his post and thought it would make a good story. I had already planned on attending and covering the event, now I'm looking to add stories before the event about the build up of the project cars.

 

Bump. Anyone else planning on building a rotary powered GRM Challenge car?

 

I competed three years ago with my roommate in a converted 85 Civic. Since then, I have been anticipating a return.

My street car (87 TII) may make it to Gainesville in April. It is not being specifically built for the Challenge, but it will meet all the criteria and be under budget. So if it is finished, I shall be there in turbo wankel power!
