Brake bedding at the track?

I'm about to go to my second track event. My brakes started to fade toward the end of the first event I went to, so I bought some Hawk blue pads for this one. My question is what is the best way to bed the new brakes? I will be driving 150 miles to the event, staying overnight at a hotel, then driving a few miles to the track (Thunderhill in Willows, CA). Is it a valid option to install the pads ahead of time, and bed them on the drive up? Or are the Hawk blue pads not an option on the street at all? If I bed them at the track, how should I go about it? Thanks.

Put them on the car before you leave and bed them according to the instructions supplied. Only downside of the Blues on the street is that stopping may be fairly poor when they're cold and they're known to be rough on rotors when used cold. Bed them in properly and let them cool before you put a bunch of stress on them.
