I was pretty sure there was something against spamming a thread across multiple sections.

Good Job. Your friend needs more driver schools and tires for that ZO-6.

Why dont you try driving his car, maybe he is just an inferior driver and tell us what happens.

he's an OK driver. he's getting hoosiers soon. maybe for the next event 9/22. i won't have new tires and mine are shot, so if he gets them, it will be very close. he drove the course in first gear. he went slower going into second. weird. i checked on the corvette forum and seems others do the same thing. jury is still out if the new z06 will be the autocross car that the c5 z06 is. it definitely is an open track terror, just maybe not autocross terror. but alighnment and tires will help no doubt.

I love my FD but I can guarantee you a decent driver will kick our butt's on a new ZO-6
These cars are just rare as hen's teeth right now that the autocross jockey's havn't had a chance to even test drive or much less buy them without being tagged some insane dealer mark-up. I know Hoosier was going to release some new sizes which are specific for the 'Vette & Viper crowd sometime in the near future.

First gear on these cars will do at least 60mph and shifting to 2nd probably got him out of the power range.

I still think that if you beat his time on your FD (3 rotor?), you would've killed him in his own car.

I've seen a couple c6 z06s autoxing locally, they don't seem as well suited for autoxes as the c5, but only time will tell

Last I heard the new Z06 wasnt able to run R compounds due to something with their onboard tire pressure capabilities. Something having to do with R compounds running not enough PSI and setting the computer into some sort of limp mode. Anybody know if this is fixed yet?

I have not heard of such a problem. Their main problem is getting good tire sizes for the car in r-compounds.

yeah thats a none issue. my friend had his car with new hoosiers and there were no issues, except him kicking my ***. his best at the next event was 47.2 on brand new hoosiers. i drove his car and couldn't touch that time. my best in my car with two year old kumhos that suck was 48.1.
