auto-x mods to First-gen?

I'm currently autocrossing a completely stock (except for K&N filter) '85 GSL with the 12a. I have a set of yokohama's that are awaiting some new wheels . I also plan to get a better front sway bar. I don't know if I want to keep it "stock" or not because I don't have a whole lot to spend. So are there any other mods I should consider? What would help me the most in autocrossing?

BTW, I live in Colorado and I'm autocrossing tomorrow at the Coors Field lot. Anyone here going to be there tomorrow?

Do they allow you to run in the stock class with the K&N. I didn't know if you can change filters. If I were you I would try and stay in the stock class and not do too much to were you would get bumped up.

I am trying to figure out how to keep my car in e-stock while not having any cats. The car didn't have cats when I bought it.

You can run K&N or no filter at all but you have to keep the stock airbox in the stock class. If you don't want to spend much just stay in stock. As far as what will help you tomorrow-walk the course as many times as possible and have fun. It is as much the driver as the car.
