Anyone see the racing incident the crushed his drivers front corner?

His wheel didn't fly off when he slid by me at the VIP grandstand. The front left wheel was on it's side and suspension all crushed up. He slid right by us and almost tapped the wall.

His car was repaired on Sunday, but didn't race the sprints. And the driver signed my pass.

I saw it, An NSX(I think, could have been the viper though)forced the Fd to the outside of the chicane, he hit a stack of two or three tires, the car went ~3 feet in the air, and came down hard on the left front. This was Immediately followed by two other similar incidents due to the carnage left by the FD. There was no yellow at the corner before the accident(SCCA Flaggers LOL) Basicly, since the accident was right at the corner, their was a waving yellow right there(but not at the corner ~100 yards before the incident) With closing speeds there well over 120mph the flag was pretty much worthless. It was the black Viper... and the FD was closing very fast and, at least in my opinion, the Amemiya driver tried a very optimistic pass, and got the door slammed on him and he had no choice but to hit the curb and fly into the air. I'm sure this stupid flagging situation had something to do with the closing speed of the FD on the viper.... it's to bad, I think the Amemiya FD would've won GT300 class.

Actually the flagging was due to an SCCA rule that says you flag station, to stationn. since it occurred at a station, the preceeding corner is not supposed to flag the incident. I feel another SCCA AIRBAG advisory coming
