Dunno about that, I use a K&N cylinder type filter, nice and short.. Dunno about your AFM, mine with the adapter (86-88) is 3"

2.5 is the 89+ FC Maf. You can get a transition pipe or a transition silicon hose and use a 2.75 or 3 inch filter. Both APEXi and HKS makes short intake filters, and both utilizes the velocity stacks.

Mike,

You might take a look at K&N for a universal tapered cone filter. My research showed a filter that might work, P.N. RU-3560. Here's the specs:

Filter length - 6"
Mounting flange ID - 2.5"
Frt edge OD - 4 5/8"
Back edge OD - 5 1/8"
Flange - 5/8" tall, centered

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like an option. If you want to give it a shot, let me know. Priced well too at less than $40.

thats what i would suggest too. the local dirt track shop has a k&n catalog where you can choose between all dimensions of tapered, cylinder, etc.
