Great job so far... You need to change the name of your thread to, 94 RX-7 ROLLER COASTER Project Begins... Six Flags is gonna have to pay you to give people rides in that thing... Keep the pics coming...

Could you let me know a little more about this FARAUSA series that you are running in. Im local and might be interested. I went to the website you posted, but it seems hard to find anything other than pictures of the directors rides.

OK! Here we go!! Lots of progress...
Been working on this thing three times a week for about 9 hours at a time after regular work. We must have over 180 hours into this since we started and there are 2 of us.

And for the biggest Progress of all!! 13bPP engine Stacked!!
Its taken a long time of Tideous labor hours and work by both CLR Motorsports (Carlos Lopez) and I to bring this motor to reality. Plans are to have this motor on the engine dyno for break in by next Tuesday!!

Question: those plates look like a 12A w/ the seal groves on the rotor housings rather than on the end-irons. What's up with that?
Looks absolutely beautiful, btw.

Ah, what I meant was: where are you going to pull cold air for the engine intake? May I suggest something like this:
They run restrictor plates, but you get the idea. Brake duct hose that runs to the front of the car. Also, you can see they use an air/water oil cooler behind the main radiator. Pretty slick.

I was just wondering the story on why they were were reversed, was he using 12A irons and where he got the 13B housings with the grooves in them.
Where am I confused? All the 13B irons I have worked on have the grooves in them and flat sides on the rotor housings.

They are GSL-SE Housings. For the Rear Iron plate, we just double up the water jacket seal and use a new and a used o-ring for the outer seal. Works Fine. Carlos Uses it all the time.

Ahhh, GSL-SE housings. That makes sense. All the 13B blocks I've seen have been S4 or later.
Thanks for the clarification. You learn something new everyday!
