3 rotors finish 1-2 at Solo2 Nats

Scott McQueen and his 3 rotor Bugeye was leading Wendell Kar-Ake and his super trick 3 rotor Miata by about 1/2 a second after the first day. Wendell came back on Day 2 to take the overall win in EM by .4 seconds over Scott.

If you ever get the chance to see either of these cars be sure to do so. I saw Wendell's Miata in Houston for the first time earlier this year and they must have made some big gains in setup to grab the win. Congrats! The Miata is missing the majority of its firewall and the rear half of the 3 rotor is in the cockpit; it's practically mid-engined with the radiator mounted in the trunk.

Nats results in almost real time

Looks like SS was completely swpet by Corvettes- only 2 of the 46 entries were NOT Corvettes. One 996 and one RX7.

SM2 looks to be the place to be if you have an RX7; 3 of the top ten are 7's, including the leader.
ASP also looks to be dominated by the Corvette crew...

Just a pic of the car, none of the "good stuff" shows

3 rotor Miata

I have a few minutes of video from Houston when Wendell was kind enough to open the car up and let me snoop around all I wanted. It's impressive. Sorry I can't upload it though...

Wendell is probably my best friend in the world, somebody here needs to buy his CSP car, it's totally setup and ready to rock. You wouldn't believe the work that went into that Miata, the owner is Doug Turner and he is an absolute artist in a machine shop, the intake for the 20B was completely fabricated by hand, eliptical butterflys and all. The suspension on the Miata is not far from stock, which is a testement I think to Wendells setup and driving skills. That man has jumped in my car many a time and bettered me by .5sec. Usually at an event, a quick chat before a run is worth .5sec improvement.

Pic of the car for sale, PM me if interested

Here's some vids of it, before they really got into developing the suspension. Please conserve bandwidth and "right click, save as"
