Okay, I have to ask... Does anyone know why there aren't any clubs running events at Summit Point until practically the end of May? Are they still repaving Main? It looks like SP has a number of their own combined drift/hpde-type events (http://www.driftnirvana.com) on Shenandoah, but that shouldn't preclude any other clubs from running there on other weekends. NASA isn't even having an event at Summit Point until Hyperfest in June! The NASA March event at VIR is during a NASCAR weekend and from what I hear all the hotels are already booked. It's looking like it's going to be a long boring spring.

I am going to attend this event in March for the HPDE. Thanks for sharing the link.

Anyone else going to Hyperfest? I'll be there.

Thinking about signing up for the MB event in July on Shenandoah as well. Details here:

I'm going to try and make the FATT on the 20th, right before Hyperfest.

I'll probably be at hyperfest Saturday, but I'm not in the HPDE (too many events at VIR coming up).

I actually haven't driven Summit in a long time so I'd love to ride along for a session if anybody's offering.

I haven't driven the repaved main course yet either, so it'll be interesting to see how much it's changed. If you find me in the paddock and noone's already in the passenger seat I'd be happy to give rides, but be prepared to be underwhelmed by my stock power and stock suspension on street tires!

Made it through Hyperfest in one piece. Next event I'm registered for is with the Mercedes Benz club 7/26-27 on the Shenandoah. Would be nice to see some other rotaries there

I found out I'd be giving rides on the JC, so I bailed on Hyperfest and instructed at FATT on Friday. There was a BIG crowd coming in when I left.

If you hadn't driven the main circuit repaved, you're already too late. The 12-hour event tore up the asphalt in T1, T4, T5 and elsewhere. I see bumpy concrete patches in the offing.

Yea, I was disappointed in the surface conditions and they deteriorated over the weekend. No small wonder with all the traffic + drifting they were doing. I think I saw you leaving Friday evening when I was in the line of traffic waiting to get into the paddock.

I will be at Summit Shen that weekend with the MB club. I may try for a VIR date later in the season when it cools down a bit

There are two full course events back-to-back at the end of August (Trackdaze 8/28-29 and Mazda Drivers 8/30-31) but it won't really cool down by then. I'll be at one of those, slow-cooking in the car. Not sure what's next after that.

I'll be out of town on vacation during the August days... I was hoping to resume in September but the schedule of events (for all clubs) is looking pretty thin. Not sure why as Sep. can have really perfect track weather

There are a few events coming up at the new Thunderbolt track in NJ. I might try to make the 10/10-12 PCA event. Rolex will be there at the end of August.
