1st gen mod for HP

LEGAL IN ITA UNTIL COMP BOARD SAYS OTHERWISE

attach a spring loaded cable to the adjuster on top of your holley fuel pressure regulator with preset movement limiters, put a **** on the other end and mount it to the side of your shifter so you can spin it a 1/2" with your thumb just like they do with adjustable boost in the porsche's. as soon as the shift light hits at say 4800, you thumb it leaning out your normally fat top end (the nikki shortcoming). all it takes is to drop fuel pressure by say from 2 1/2 down to 1 3/4 to bump your EGT 1450 to 1700 degrees. letting go will very quickly bring it back to 2 1/2. this will benefit the mazdas far more than the rest of the cars due to our unique carb. watch the reaction from the non-rotary crowd to this mod. I have seen the light, 90% of the club feels its OK to twist the rules any way they see fit. so the gloves come off. every aspect of my car thats not specified will be dial on the fly and ill sell kits or give away instructions across the nation to do so. works for me.

LOL..

Man, you sure stirred up a hornet's nest on the IT forum

Although honestly, do you really see a benefit? I kinda agree that it's one thing for you to be fiddling with in the cockpit.. You might think about an RPM switch to do this, that way it comes on and off without you thinking about it. I'll let you decide if taht's legal

gains for first gen would be huge, say 1 1/2 to 3 seconds a lap, dyno data I have studied shows if you tune for max HP in midrange you lose almost 10 hp on top and vice versa. if the legality stands the RX will be top car in ITA again. im against such devices but if their going to use them, so am I. And no, cant use additional wiring, must be mechanical and part of the fuel pressure regulator to be legal.
ya those guys really pissed me off, with their"take your old P.O.S. home and quit cryin B.S.
watch what happens when you take their idea and kick their butts with it.
my last word to them is "maybe you shoulnt have raised the bar out of your own reach".

allows you to tune motor for max HP at 2800 to 4500 rpm, then by slight turn of a **** on side of shifter it retunes carb for max HP at 5000 to 8500 rpm by leaning it out.
it does this because if you tune your nikki for top end max HP and leave it, your 10 HP off max in the mid range because the mid will be too lean to make good power.
this really only applies to people that run SCCA or NASA in ITA where no major carb mods are allowed.

WARNING........... just got off the phone with my motor builder, hes very excited, said it'll make definate gains and cant wait to chassis dyno the setup, BUT, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITHOUT A DIGTRON DUAL READOUT EGT, the other types will not react to the temp change quick enough and you will burn up your apex seals before you ever get it dialed in and set properly.

Have now come up with HP mod that activates on its own, not manually operated from the cockpit, and is all contained within the fuel pressure regulator, morning to afternoon jet changes are no longer necessary, mid and top end mixtures both change with a twist of a screw. ready to install kits for sale on demand, again, INITIAL INSTALLATION MUST BE DONE WITH DIGATRON EGT or bad things will happen.
Mazda Comp number required and shipping adress must match, sorry, the non mazda guys will have to pay at the track to see how it works.
