I have a 2nd gen 13B in my Locost 7. I would like to mount the engine further to the rear but the starter would hit the firewall. Is there any variation in the starter size for FB, FC, FD Rx-7s or Rx-8s? Will they interchange? If so which is the smallest?

Is there an smaller aftermarket starter that would work?

I think the early RX-3's and so on had a top mount starter that faces forward on top of the engine. That may be the best route to take.
