He sold me a steel hood telling me it was aluminum, claiming that he didn't know it was steel and he was told it was aluminum. Due to school/travel constraints, at the time I was not able to weigh the hood nor did I have the opportunity to compare it to my steel hood for weight purposes. I offered to sell the hood and have me refund the difference, and he's refusing to refund any of my money.

Next time I go to get a hood, I'll bring a scale. If you're going to buy from this guy, be damn sure you know what you're getting.

1st of all, that's blatant false advertising. You really should give they guy his money back, because you sold him an alumunum hood, not a steel one. I'm sure if he knew it was steel he wouldn't have bought it because he's already got a steel one!

One way to tell if it's aluminum is too look at the latch where it closes.
Rivets = Aluminum
No rivets = Steel

You seem like a jerk selling him a steel hood claiming that it was aluminum, and then not refunding his money. Im sorry about your financial situation but you fucked him over. I would seem like a jerk to you too if you ripped me off.

Hey, want to buy an aluminum lower control arm? Its a little rusty but still worth the money!

**** ppl over? it was an honest mistake that i apologized for. i only assume he's telling the truth since i have no way of telling weather he is lieing or not. he mentions it half a year later and doesnt even wait for an explanation before making demands and telling me what i am going to do. i've done business with many other ppl that most of you know. but if you wanna base my business skills off of one mistake among dozens of good experiences than you've already judged me anyways and nothing i can say is going to change that. i sold a tranny to goodfellafd3s, he came down, i helped him load it, the tranny was sold as is but i still refunded some of his money because of a problem he had with it. the difference is he let me know the next day, while i still had the money not half a year later. i am selling my rear seats to rotary ressurection. ask him if he gets his stuff or if im just gonna rip him off.
