XS Engineering Experience...wow...

So I was about to buy an HKS Ignition Amp from XS Engineering site...been comparing prices for the last week or two...from home, work and other places I jump on the Internet.

Anyhow, I came to the conclusion XS had it cheapest at 319.95 (after severak days of research). So I proceed with my order and in the cart it shows as 391.50. I thought, well...tax...ok...until I notice tax was added on top of that. So I call XS Engineering and was helped by someone and I give him the part # etc...

He says...let me check...then he says in a startled voice..."mine says 391.50...are you sure it says 319.95?". I said Im looking at it right now...yes. Then he says, maybe your cache is old...try a refresh...of course, right when I refresh, the price changed. He was trying to school me on how cache works for browsers...in my head, Im like...look dude, Im not stupid, Im an IT PM...you dont need to tell me. Well, I kept it to myself and laughed as I got off the phone thinking...you fool.

Anyhow, I decided not to purchase from them because of that experience...just had to get it off my head.

Boo for them.

If there's one thing I've heard about XS, it's that they are NOT inexpensive. I've heard stories of guys bringing their cars there and walking out with a very high bill, much higher than it should of been for the work completed......

I second that not even going to the shop...over the phone with the blink of an eye the price changed in front of me...on the Internet. This character changed the price real-time with me on the phone and said...refresh your browser...like I was an idiot.

Man...gotta love it.

I think Im going with a Jacobs Ignition.

Just do a 6a and an FC or msd lead coil and be done with it. It's a superior setup that costs less.
