How long to wait?

After discussing the shipping charges, I sent paypal to a reputable (based on feedback in this forum) seller on 8/12/07. I have not received the part and have not heard anything from the seller.

I sent a private message to the seller letting him know the payment had been sent on 8/12/07. I followed up with him on 8/22/07 to make sure he had the payment. I followed up again on 8/27/07. He has not responded to any of my messages. Since he has posted comments, I also know he been online during that time. (The guy also lives about 30 miles from me so transit time shouldn’t be a problem.)

Am I being a pain in the ***? Have I waited long enough to declare this guy a deadbeat? Should I reverse my payment and purchase from another seller?

You should always request a date that the seller will ship and also to supply you with a tracking number on that date. If they fail to do so or do not return your pm's then there is a potential problem.

I don't understand though if he lives only 30 miles away that you did not pick it up in person?
Or at least go to the persons house if you know where they live since they had failed to communicate with you.

since Paypal will let you claim a refund for up to 60 days, if there has been no contact by 30 to 45 days.. I would refund.
