after putting up a WTB ad in the classified for a TII OMP , I was pm'd my mr Fong who offered me one for $35 , I immediately paypaled him the money for it . After receiving it he said that he shipped it out via priority mail and that I would receive it in 2-3 days time ........ that was before Christmas last year !
I pm'd him a few times about it and he keeps saying the same **** , this "the manager at post office told me that mostly, the package was delivered via Priority mail(they guarantee that) to the address, but there is a chance that someone(or kids) around your area picked it up. so, they have no control of that, expecially in a no good neighborhood.

that is all I found out. sorry can't help you much. if you want to see the receipt, I can copy it and send it to you to prove I sent the package.

I contacted him one time after to explain that he needs to take responsibility for what has (or hasn't ) happened and to stop blaiming the post office , If I buy something and I don't get it I expect a refund !

I have the receipt from post office to prove I did ship it out by 01/02/2007. and I did go to post office to check the package for you, and then told you everything what I was told by the post office manager.

Actually, I went to post office twice already for that matter. The post office told me to wait a little, beside the chance of picking up by someone else.

alright, enough is enough. I don't mean to start another gabage fight here for anyone. I started the post to seek any suggestions to have better seller protection when the carrier really is the fault guy who lost the package here. also, want to warn people about the case.

after all the replies, I think it is better always to have a confirmation/tracking#. but it is even better to do signature delivery. that will reduce the risk like this happen.

Marcel, I believe that you are honest guy that didn't lie to me about not receiving the package, and I believe that you make huge money, and really like to straight this out while I am still waiting for the response from post office after the two trips to post office. I guess that you don't want to wait.

Then, I think that we all have better things to do, like you can stay focus on your thousands dollars project, and I can get back to my normal life. To resolve this, I will REFUND you the money for PART only. The shipping cost and the paypal fee will not be refunded, basic on the fact I already shipped it out. if ever you receive the part finally, Please be a honest guy like you claim, and send me the money I refund you.

I personally have delt w/ Fong before and never had a problem. I'm sure that there was just a misunderstanding and that things will be resolved.

If I had the money for an 800 dollar used clutch, then I'd probably get a new OMP...I'm not trying to flame, just wondering....I mean since they're prone to failing and everything, why not just get a new one from Malloy?

 

Beause I make the money I do , doesn't mean I'll go out and spend it all on unnecessary stuff , I am not working just to buy new stuff for my car . I've had rotaries before and not one of them had a faulty OMP ! if however it does fail , you can be sure that I'll get a brand new one !

 

Ok all i really got from DR's posts that i missed before is if its sent to the wrong adress it can take up to three weeks to be returned... so that would put us here right at about todays date then wouldn't it?

I went to post office to ask about that right after you told me not getting the part. and I told you whatever they told me. so, what else I am missing here for lack of communication?

I've had experience with the post office losing **** before, and guess what?
They won't even look for it until at least 3 weeks after it was supposed to be delivered.

Once fong mails it, it's out of his hands. It's not his fault if it was stolen off of your doorstep.

When you blame the post man you only reinfource what I've been saying all along , if everyone knows about the post , if everyone had a bad experience with them , why use the post when doing business ? its not a letter or a post card your sending , its something that someone has paid their hard earned money for !
I did not request that he use the post ! so now that he went ahead and did so ( I'm sure he had his reasons ), and lthe part got lost by them as ususl, I am supposed to understand , I am supposed to accept that its the post mans fault , right ?. Thats just plain wrong !
I already purchased another pump and the guy shipped it out with FexEx , I even got a tracking # for me , why couldn't Mr Fong do that ?
