I have been on these forums for almost 2 years now and never been scamed or i scam anybody .Theres two forum members in here that i have bought things from.And they are giving me the roundabout.Isend emails and pms to them and i get no return.Icheck to see when was the last time they were logged on and they must of seen the pms everytime.They are selling parts on the forum as i type this.

I really cant see my self getting scammed here but i feel as i do.I ask for a tracking number, proof, or even a simple PHONE CALL-321-402-9133. and nothing. One of these member i can file charges on him via paypal but its the priciple in getting my parts that counts than waiting weeks for money to arrive.

As most of you know i am rebuilding my engine and getting it ready with help of a lot of members here and i thank you.

The other member i trade him some parts for some of his , well itrs been like this "WHEN THEY ARRIVE I WILL SHIP YOURS, LIKE THAT I KNOW YOURS ARE GOOD"i said cool ''THEY WILL BE SHIPPED ON FRIDAY" great send me a tracking"

i ask him are they shipped we are waiting on these for my engine, he replys"NOPE BUT I WILL SHIP EM IN A MIN"

now **** like this is what pisses me the **** off IF YOU ARE GONNA SELL SOME THING ,STOP ******* WAITING TILL YOU FEEL COMFTABLE SHIPPING YOUR ****.

now this leaves me to conclusion, should i report these guys or should i call a couple of my friends that will take care of things for me that are home on vaction before they go to IRAQ

YOU GUYS DECIDE BECAUSE ,COME FRIDAY IF I DONT HAVE MY PARTS OR PHONE CALLS FROM THESE GUYS OR TRACKING ATLEAST, I WILL POST WHO THEY ARE !!!!

and if you are that person i hope you are reading this because those that now me know its not a threat its a promise, MONEY AND MY PRIDE i will defend till the end

Damn I hate reading these posts and not getting the names of the potential scammers. I been scammed a few times on this board and its not fun. I know what your going through bro. Name them so we can all avoid them.

Oh, don't let the 45 days go by before you can no longer file a claim with paypal. No matter what the seller says, if that day aproaches and you have recieved nothing you better have a claim in.

 

Alex is referring to me as one of the sellers, and I have neither "scammed" nor "given him the roundabout."

First off, I gave him a SCREAMING deal on an ACT 4-puck/pp setup because I had done business with him before and he was a cool guy and I just needed it out of my garage. I asked him that on top of the initial price he pay me whatever it would cost to ship ($31.98 as it turned out)

It took me a while to ship it the first time -- mainly due to laziness -- and after realizing I had the address wrong and getting the clutch back twice I figured it out and told him why it was taking so long. (I recieved his payment on the 23rd of December, I believe)

I have replied within reasonable time (witihin a day or two -- whenever I log on next and get the PM) to his concerns and have already told him that he doesn't need to pay shipping like we had originally agreed.

I am not a businessman who sends out parts daily. I do it at my convenience, which unfortunately can sometimes be a while, and if you expect anything more out of someone (per my logic) you should do business with, well, a business.

That said, the part will arrive as advertised on Friday or Monday. I still haven't recieved a UPS tracking number (probably because they got my e-mail address wrong as it is lengthy) but in the unlikely event that I do, Alex will have it.

I do apologize for the incovenience and my own stupidity the first two times I tried shipping it, and I know what it's like to be waiting around on a part anxiously -- that sucks big time. But don't go around calling people things like "scammers" because of silly mishaps, especially when they have been more than nice to you on the $$ side the times you've done business with them.

PS: I try and refrain from calling when I can contact through PM. I like to keep my phone number personal.

 

Come on now man.. That is just stupid. You ship parts out at your convenience which sometimes can take a while? Then why are you selling parts? Don't sell if you dont want to go to the post office, its as easy as that. By selling something to someone, your making a contract to do business with someone, which in turn does make you a businessman in that deal. Or at least state in your FS thread that when the buyer pays they can be waiting for months before you stop being lazy to ship out the parts. Oh well, at least we know your "business" practices now. Ill be sure to stay away from your FS threads in the future.

The Lightning Forum has itrade feedback scoreing similar to Ebay. I wonder what it would take to install on this board?

 

The tracking number should be on the receipt when you pay for shipping out the package. That's how it is for UPS.

You guys should ask for donations for stuff like that from the members? I'm constantly posted to the F/S thread. mostly buying but sometimes selling so I would defintly donate a few bucks for some software to keep stuff like this from happening. It sucks to be ripped. For me its not the point of the money, its more the point of the principle. I HATE scammers

 

How is that stupid? I'm selling parts because I have them and I don't need them any more. I've been to the post office 4 times in the last 3 weeks. Do you like going to the post office? I did what I needed to do and screwed up -- unfortunately twice -- and have been on the problem since day 1, so don't give me the condescending bull ****.

Again, I apologize for the screwup, but this has been blown way, way out of proportion. I wouldn't screw someone over who sent me money, believe it or not I do have morals.

Im sure we all HATE going to the post office to ship out OTHER peoples parts.. but its a part of the business of selling parts. You sell, its your obligation to deliver the goods ASAP, not whenever you feel like it because your lazy. Just think if it was reversed, Would you ship parts to someone, then wait months before they paid you because they were to "lazy" to log onto paypal.

That "Condescending Bullshit" is someone elses hard earned money.

 

I'm not going to argue with someone who can't even construct a valid point, lol.

I've already admitted that I screwed up, and already fixed the situation for Alex and will do what it takes to make him feel like he didn't get screwed over.

I have to chime in here...

I am a business man, I HOWEVER dont make squat on the stuff I sell matter a fact I prolly make less on my sales then u guys do every day.... HOWEVER there is a code of ethics... IF you are selling something then it is your OBLIGATION to get that package out within 24-48 hours (no weekend or holidays) I am sorry but shipping at your leisure IS NOT AN OPTION if u are posting things for sale. if I buy something I WANT IT NOW! I want it to ship out asap now if u tell me ahead of time it will be a day or two I will either do business with u or move on. HOWEVER if u are selling something and not mentioning that it will ship in "X" amount of days I EXPECT it to ship withing 24 hours normally

On another note.. this may not pretain here but it is ethics again.

Paypal fees are the SELLERS FEES! if u dont belive me call paypal and sk them yourself I have and they said IF they hear people are telling others they have to pay their paypal fees they will IMMEDIATLY close your paypal account for FRAUD.. now the way around that is to raise your for sale item by a buck or two.. BUT you are to NEVER tell someone to cover your paypal fees. Paypal is the benifit fo the seller, to get payment faster, to have security, yes it benifits the buyer HOWEVER paypal was made for the seller not the buyer.

Lastly if I EVER get screwed again like I did before earlier from one of this forums Canadian members I will publiclly flaunt all that persons info (to a certian exstent) in fact hoping that they NEVER have the ability to sell here again.

I agree. I'm not jumping on the seller, but the practice of "I'll get around to it" is completely out of farking control around here.

In my opinion many of the BUYERS are equally at fault. If the SELLER does not understand exactly what you expect from him, then you have no reason to complain.

That said I followed my own advice and got screwed on some JDM tails. Go figure

 

Yea, sorry peachykeenwight. No matter your argument/justification for the delay in shipping it shouldn't have gone down that way.

Lazy or not, if you received payment than the item needs to be shipped ASAP and not at your convenience. That is not how this works. If your not interested in going to the PO to ship parts you have sold then plain and simple, don't sell parts.

I can't really say that I agree. The BUYER should not have to explain to the SELLER what he expects out of them. This is a very simple transaction people. The BUYER pays for an item and that right there is all the expectation information the SELLER needs.

If I came to your house to buy parts and handed you the money would you turn me away and say 'I'll bring the parts to your house tomorrow.' No, I don't think so. I would leave with parts in tow. This is the exact same thing outside of the short time in between payment and receipt due to shipping times. Lazy isn't an excuse. Get off your *** and provide what has been paid for. It's not rocket science.

Oh and BTW, you can call UPS (and I believe the PO will do this) and have them come to your house to pick up the packages that need to be shipped. In a world of technology and services that have been designed for the lazy, being lazy isn't an excuse.

I just don't even buy from this forum anymore. Had multiple mishaps including Gambean that has good rep from some people. And many more. Its just getting crazy on the internet now because they don't even have to get off there *** to scam anymore. Oh yea and good luck of fixing your car back up. I recently got close to a fire but got it out and found the source before having to much to worry about.

 

This is incredibly unbelievable! How are you going to take someone's money and basically tell him you'll send his parts out when you feel like it?? I try my best to get parts out the next day (if transaction is done the night before). If there are delays, I keep buyer abrest. All who have bought from me can vouch for this. If I'm the buyer, I make it a habit to send payment right away, don't like to mess with people's money. You don't know how bad they may need the few extra bucks.
