anyone buy engine from osakajdmmotors?
hey, i was just wondering if anyone bought a tII engine from osakajdmmotors.com, i want to buy this engine , but my dad doesn't trust buying a japanese motor because he says it's probably been used for racing and thn pulled out when everything is burned out. so any input on how your jdm motor came out would be great
I have never bought a JDM, but have considered it many times... In Japan they have strict emissions laws... A motor w/ 50k miles on it has to be replaced or rebuilt and at 100k miles the entire car has to be replaced... That is why they send them here... It has nothing to do with the engine being raced or things going out on them... They are just no longer aloud to be used in Japan...

I have heard several bad things about them. DO NOT get a motor from them unless you are planning on rebuilding it before you put it in your car. There have been several people who got bad engines and then the company either didn't honor the warrenty or only did so after legal action. Search about them on the forums, especially the good guy/bad guy section.
The only company I have know of that is reliable for j-specs is corksport, but there may be some I don't know about.

lol, i would not get one from them.. i just bought one from them and the oil pump is burned, the rear rotor has a spun bearing and the teeth on the rear gear is gone..i just posted about it.. im going to rebuild it .. so unless you are willing to spend the extra money if it isnt good then i wouldnt buy one..

Yeah, 808 just posted a thread with pics of the motor he got from them. I should rephrase my post and say that you should only get one from them if you plan on rebuilding it AND you can do a compression test to verify that there's no popped seals.
