Will be testing Datalogit w/Mac shortly....

Just a head's up, I'll be testing the datalogit on my Powerbook within a week or so. I've acquired OSX and Virtual PC. I also had Glen include a serial to USB adapter so I can interface with the Datalogit. I'll make a full report on it's functionality once I have everything up and running. If all goes well, I'll be able to contribute more to this particular forum than I have been :-) I just can't wait to get my Datalogit up and running!

If it doesn't work, anyone know where I can get a really cheap used PC laptop that'll do the job? :-)

It will work! It must work, cause I'm going to be using my iBook with VPC5 and OSX with Windows 98 in a few short weeks. Let me know how it works out. If you need a cheap pc (aren't they all? ) You can get one off of price watch real cheap, even the used one. Let me know.

Well I'm installing it now and my first impressions on my Bronze 400mhz Powerbook with 300+mb of ram is that it's SLOOOOOW. I'm still configuring Windows so maybe it'll pick up some speed once it's running. I still have to install the Datalogit software and then the USB driver so we'll see!

An update for those that are following this thread and not my other "I cant' install this crap" thread. It's up and running using Virtual PC on my Powerbook 400mhz machine and OSX. I also managed to install a driver for a device which converts the Datalogit serial out to USB for connecting to the Mac. Macs have no serial ports. Glen included it with my Datalogit for an additional fee. Unfortunately, I am having trouble getting the serial/usb to respond so I haven't been able to load my maps onto the laptop.
