Will the base map be fine?

Streetport motor
Apexi power FC/commander/dattaloger
R85 single turbo
Full exhaust
ASP Large SMIC
HKS twin power
850 primary/1600 sec inj
supra pump
sfx fuel press reg.
Greddy Profec S
Innovate LM1 wideband

I don't really understand on how to tune it myself. There's a dyno a hour away.

Will i be ok on the base map? What do i need to do, so i don't blow my motor. I'm still rebuilding the motor, but should be donw with it in a few weeks, just need to plan on tuning it. I know i need to do the idle learn mode.
What do i need to change to run the 850 prim, and 1600 sec inj?
Thanks

No it will not be good:
(1) It takes a DATALOGIT to change the secondary injectors to 1600.
(2) 850 primaries are a bitch to tune for idle.
(3) The AFRs (fuel) still needs to be logged and adjusted.
(4) The higher RPM timing most like will have too much advance as is.
(5) Take the car to a RX-7 specialist in Florida. There are at lease 3.

Thanks for the reply,

Have the datalogit, i call it dattalogger sometimes.

I also have your notes, I wish i had a step by step info on how to do the tuning. I just don't understand it that well. I just quickly over looked your notes, i'm gonna spend sometime and read it again. I'm not ready for the tune yet, i'm putting the motor back into the car now, but will be needing to figure out the tuning soon.

What is the data i need to enter for the 850/1600 injectors. I saw the formula you use, just want to make sure i come up with the correct #'s. Did't know the 850 are a pain to tune. It seems like it's a common injector to run for primarys. Should i put in the 550s instead.

I plan on taking it to a shop, but would like to drive it there. As i have to take off my front bumper to tow.

Q1: What is the data i need to enter for the 850/1600 injectors.
A1: The PFC manual has the base instructions on how to do it, and my notes expand it a little. Read both.

Q2: Did't know the 850 are a pain to tune. It seems like it's a common injector to run for primarys. Should i put in the 550s instead.
A2: Since day 1 owners have complained about them. This is also covered by my notes. Only needed for very high HP engines. 550/1600 are fine for mid 400rwhp.
550a only needed for bigger power.

850s pretty much mean no tuning at idle, you are almost stuck with about a 10.5-11:1 afr at idle. You can tune for it, but it takes a lot of work, such as retuning the whole map. I run 4x850cc and just deal with the super rich idle, although I wish I had went with 1300cc secondaries instead of upgrading the primaries.
