Why should I remove those "Other" wires?
Hey guys,
Just installed my PFC with an Rx-7 buddy last night. Fired her up, did the learning and everything went great! Since my friend installed his PFC his idle has been all over the place so I told him lets try without taking out the wires and it runs SUPER SMOOTH, better idle than with stock ECU!
So why should I remove those 4 wires?

The Japanese and American ECU's are different. I *THINK* those wires on the Japanese ECU's might actually be for determining electrical load - regardless, those 4 wires are for things not on the car. Apexi USA says to do it, people have done it for years, it's just a good idea.
You don't have to cut the wires either - search on my user name in this forum. You can just back the pins out of the connector - super easy to do, and is easily reversible.
