weird issues after power FC!
ok first of all the idle is screwed up....i did the whole relearn thing but everytime i start the car the idle jumps up n down for about a minute or so and then settled down, but if i give it some throttle and let go...it does the same thing. some times the car even dies.
second problem is while boosting, this usually happens around 5-6k rpm at full throttle.....i hear one or some times 2 pops, not from the exhaust but the engine. kinda like knock sounds but just a single TAK! or a TAK TAK! and its fine then.
anyone have answers for a FC noob?

POP like you mention sounds like detonation or extreame afterfire.
Stop boosting until the problem is resolved. Unfortunately you live in an area with few RX7 experienced mechanics.

The "heat light" is probably the exhaust overheat warning light that the PFC uses as a warning for high knock values.

but the weird thing is that this started after i put the power fc on. it was fine with the stock ecu.
my mods include custom intakes. 3 inch exhaust pipe with a resonated straight through cat. the FC has the base map!
oh and could the bouncing idle be because the air bleed nut is opened quite a bit since the car idled like **** on the stock ecu. and my airpump is disconnected too!
