You going to run more boost later, Chuck?

I just installed a Blitz and will soon be going for higher boost. But first; I will be moving my air temp sender to the Greddy elbo or IC outlet.

The MAP sensor could be bad, you running the 3 bar yet? Great excuse to get one

An example of what I am trying to do:
If most of the equipment says boost is 12 psi, and the PFC says less, such that it's selected row/rows are lower
then they should be: like abs pressure of 17500 instead of 18000; then I will replace the 18000 P row pressure value with 17500. This will cause the PFC to pick a higher row or interporlation where it should have been in the first place.

Chuck, you remember that the PFC is one row behind, right? Weren't you the one that picked up on that to begin with?

But since the DATALOGIT provides this data, I have to see what it also says when I have 12psi. It might also be off. Maybe I will have 12AM and Blitz;11PFC; and 11.5DAT.

This might seem extreme, but it keeps me busy and from being bored.
Also, Nocab runs the Blitz, the PFC and HAD an autometer. I think he might have a DEFI now. Kyle, how do you compare across the three?

Never stop modding, never stop tweakin'!

So negative split is when trailing ignition fires before leading?

Correct, and having negative trailing timing isn't bad...but the guy who originally posted had the "show split" box checked. Kinda confusing at first glance if you're not familiar with it.

No you're not. Not at that link you're not. You're just comparing Fuel, IGL, and IGT between disparate maps.

Take the (IGL - IGT).
Go to that site and click on a map. Now scroll all the way down to the bottom. You don't see a split table? If you're going to start billing yourself as a web surfer, you're going to have to start doing some clicking.

(just givin ya ****)

I might try going to 16 on my lightly modified non-seq
Mazda turbos. I have had it at 16 temporarily with out any problems. My current AFRs are 11.7 for 12psi and 11.5 for 14psi. Will drop it to about 11.3 for 16. My Blitz FMIC really cools the charge down, even in summer. My cooling fans are set to come on at 86C and 90C.

My maps were pre-loaded by my engine builder. Kyle found four negative splits at P04,N18 and P06, N16. Rarely hit cells, both in vacuum, but nevertheless perked Kyle's attention. I have a street-ported motor, and was told by the engine builder that the trailing ignition would be retarded, and the timing split? Other mods include Greddy 2-row FMIC, Greddy Airinx intake, 1300-cc secondaries, ND comp fuel pump, downpipe, high-flow cat, RB dual tip catback. The AFRs were set to 11.7 @ 0.80 bar and 11.9 @ 0.70 bar. The boost portion of the map is conservative with split under boost primarily being >10 degrees. These have NOT been wide-band verified. I plan to have the break-in miles completed by next weekend, so perhaps Kyle can check these with his wide-band?

If you going to start billing...I'll take two!

Now I see a split table. I'll swear up and down sideways I didn't see it before!

If Kyle is going to the trouble of hooking everything up, why don't you have him tune the car then, Manny? It's alot of work for just a check.

And I hope you got logs from KDR.

Dave made his best guess at a map that would provide you with the above target AFR's, likely based on another car he has actually tuned with similiar mods and porting to you, but still, "a best guess" as each car is different.

Reference to above, there were no dyno runs made by KDR, so there could be no logs. KDR built the motor and provided a "best guess @ tuning" starter map for Manny's PFC, then shipped both to Jason's shop for installation. I highly recommended to Manny that he have us, really meaning YOU, wideband tune and tweak his map prior to thrashing on the car. You have the mobile Wideband setup, mine is permanently installed in my car and would be a major PIMA to remove.

Manny, I vote you PM or email Tony to arrange a meet and "tweak and tune" session with him when you are in town.
