VMOP Sensor Question

Hello All,

I have a PFC question regarding the VMOP voltage reading I am getting. My VMOP is currently reading .97 volts static (there is no change when the engine is revved). Can someone tell me what their VMOP sensor reads at idle and if it increases with engine RPM? I have a suspicion the voltage is coming from the oil metering pump switch. If this is the case, the shop manual calls for 1.2 volts at idle and up to 4 volts under WOT. In addition, has anyone had this problem? If my suspicion is correct I think the OMP needs replaced. Can anyone confirm this?

The MOP should match one of the throttle position sensors ... very similar.

the oil metering pump voltage will not just go up and down with rpm, but also with load. under boost it should start going up more. Mine gets up into the upper 3.X range when going WOT in 3rd and 4th gear.
Check it when your getting on it pretty hard and let us know what voltage you see.

I'm really wondering if my OMP is working within spec. I can't rev past 3500 rpms right now because of the new motor. But when I do accelerate up to about 3600to 3700 rpms my voltage on the PFC for the OMP only goes up to 1.41. I'm not at full throttle maybe say about 1/2 throttle 2-3 psi boost. Question is at what percentage throttle should you really notice the voltage for the OMP change? My voltage is 1.1 volt at idle and 1.41 up to about 3700rpm 1/2 throttle. With the car off I tried to full throttle the pedal and check the voltage but no change, I figure it needs a load to change. Guess I'll need to add some premix along with the OMP. Whats a good premix to use thats easy to find? And now much should I add when still running the OMP? THanks for the help..!!

You can throw in just about anything to premix. Outboard or dirtbike 2-cycle oil is good and Walmart, AutoZone, or any place like them have it.
