the unspoken fuel thermosensor

I am going to be rippin gof UIM again, thought I woudl give eveything a nice check over. I have noticed via PFC that fuel thermosensor always reads around 4.5. I know it is the same physically as the water thermosensor, therfore, when I turn the key on before starting it in the morning , shoudln't it have the same value. It never really moves from the 4.5

Thanks guys

Here is my fuel temp data:
cold engine:
water temp = 22C, Wvoltage = 2.17, Fvoltage = 3.73

drove home 16 miles, hot engine:
water temp = 86C, Wvoltage = 0.49, Fvoltage = 3.33

great, that is about what I am getting, Hey Chuck, BTW my EGR valve is leaking vacuum. thanks fo rthe suggestion. Although I suspect that means is is closed all the time, so only change by plugging it is no vaccum leak. My transistion is much faster now, haven;t yet check for lower knock readings at higher RPM though.

huh?!? What is the relation btwn the EGR and the seq system? enlighten me please -or point me to the original thread.

The fuel thermo sensor does nothing to change any values in either the stock ECU system or a PFC, I looked it up in the shop manual, and asked a few Mazda techs about it, no one can figure out why it's even there since it does absolutely nothing, just my 2cents.

It actually injects ever so slightly more fuel at hotter temps... cold fuel is more dense so it injects slightly less at cold temps..

Ex from the Power FC using the Data logit...

Temp Fuel Adj
60C' 1.020
40C' 1.000
20C' 0.977

sorry, I know that was confusing. the EGR works off the vacuum system. if it is leaking, then you haev a vacuum leak. SO by solving that, you haev the proper vacuum for turbo system.

The values you are speaking of come from the coolant temps I believe, not the fuel thermosensor.

Nope this is the fuel thermosensor, there is another more advanced set for the water temp...

Christ is correct about the fuel temp sensor. My friend Kyle has the DATALOGIT manual.

There is either fuel delivery or ignition control for all three temp sensors: water, fuel, and air.
