tuning pfc ignition help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

93 fd stock motor single gt35r turbo power fc commander i believe i have aftermarket injectors 1200s or somethin like that. (only at like 68%duty cycle at WOT). i bought this car clueless about 3 years ago and just now getting to learn what its all about.

i am wondering what to aim for when tuning ignition leading and trailing.. I have been reading about the "advance till the knock gets higher then retard back 3degrees or so to be safe) but i really dont ttrust that after reading the information about the knock sensor being accurate..

what is it that you strive for when tuning ignition . how do you know if the timing needs to be advanced or retarded..

If i sound stupid i apoligize still new to all this.

any information would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Actually the PFC adds two degrees timing above 3500 rpm. This can be seen with logging.

If you really want to learn the PFC and have access to a lot of information, contact Raymond "arghx" about joining the yahoo PFC tuning group that I started back in 2005. He now runs it.
