Hi guys,

I would appreciate your input/comments on the following situation:
As I was looking for more power from my car, I was convinced that a new PFC tune would improve the performance of my FD. So I paid a rotary "expert" tuner to tune my FD. I dyno the car both before and after the new tune, but the results were frustrating. I attach both tunes for your comments (Original = "Tune A", New tune = "Tune B". I also attach both dyno results before and after. There was a week difference between the two dynos, so weather conditions were pretty much the same.

The original setup is the following:
- Gt35R turbo, 1.06AR housing
- Stock fuel system (updated Walbro fuel pump)
- Stock engine (low compression on both rotors, around 6 and around 7)
- Greddy manifold and exhaust 76mm, aftermarket dp
- NGK 7(x2) and 9(x2) spark plugs
- 4.44 final gear
- 1 bar max boost

The only additions during the new tuning were:
+ Stage 2 AEM water/methanol injection (50:50)
+ Twin Power
+ NGK 10(x4) spark plugs


Any comments on the following will be appreciated:
a) General comparison of Tune A and Tune B in terms of engine safety and performance
b) Reasoning for changes made in Tune B
c) Does Tune B worth the price I paid? I paid for a completely new tune, not for mere improvements on the current tune.

Attach the maps as zip files not pictures of the map pages.

Those dynos really suck. I made 320 whp with stock twins at 12 psi.
Then made 347 whp with non-seq twins at 14.5psi with stock motor with all the other power mods needed for reliability.

You do not need water meth for such low hp. But the safety factor is great and the cooling will help make more power.

The weak compression does not help, but something is blocking air flow through the engine.

You can not just look at a couple of mods for more power. The complete set of mods that all work together is important. If your cat back is stock and you still have a cat, power will be low due to the restriction.


Stock injectors will also limit your possible power. I ran 550/1200 for safely making 345 whp.
Now run 550/1600 for about 420 whp T 18PSI gt35r 1.06.

Thank you for your response.
As regards the full list of mods, its pretty much stated in the #1 reply. (i.e. the catback is Greddy 76mm straight through).
As regards the injectors I am considering upgrading them in the future, both the primary and secondary.
