Tps Adjust On Fc
So are there any instructions for getting the TPS on a S5 TII with an authentic AP Engineering PFC adjusted? I can't seem to get the lights to come on at the check connectors. I'm just frustrated now.
quite easy task.
you need:
a: Comander
or
b: Datalogit
Comander use:
go to etc menu, than to sensor check. Check the voltage for TPS1 und TPS2. Adjust the voltage to the specs (0.1-0,7 TPS1 and 0,75-1,25 TPS2)
Datalogit:
Same as the Comander, but with Datalogit- Log function.
Hope this will help.

Some people just do not study the owners manual, and actual play with the adjustments to learn.
How do people think that us senior PFC experts got this way. We taught ourselfs!

i had my TPS1 illuminated black under sensor check (same as you AP.Engineering which is in fact a FD PFC anyway)
it was at 0.28v and the car stalled at deceleration, had bad idle sometimes, and the need kept beeing at 1500rpm. i adjusted the screw at the throttleplates rod to 0.31v and had no problems with idle and stalling again.

I understand how it can be, hearing questions so many times you want to punch the next person that asks in the nose. But if you (or anyone else) is such an expert, why keep coming back to the forum? You don't need to learn anymore, right? Apparently, you don't ask any questions... and since you don't provide answers, why waste time here?
I really hate to write this because I specifically respect all the contributions you have made to the forum, cewrx7r1. I think I'm just more pissed at some of the other vats of good information that have chosen to go the route of "RTFM noob!!"
I'll be honest, when I checked my subscribed threads to see if anyone had responded to my post and saw your name, I was sure I had an answer.... DOH!
Oh well, I'm done. RANT OFF!!
tps2 should read in voltage on your commandor between 0.75-1.25v (Closed throttle). Throttle full open should be Approx 5v. TPS1 should read between 0.25- 1.25v (Closed throttle). Open throttle 4.1-4.4v. If your adjustments are on the nose, than you have to go water temp correction. That is were I would start. Also have you calibrated your map sensor? The book I learned from was a tunier name Chuck Westbrook. I hope that gets you started.
Thanks Robert
Thanks Robert
^^^ that is because it is VTA1 and VTA2. You should be concerned with VTA2. That is the low range portion of the sensor and affects idle the most. need to adjust that to roughly 1v when engine is warm
