so the only thing that changed was the pfc's map?
there's a setting on the commander for idle speed, sorry i cant be more specific but I cant rember it off the top of my head. it only works if you have an IAC tho.

if u have the DL, check for any settings in the IDLE portion being set so high...
then try manual adjusting the screws on your throttle body.
the worst case will be your intake manifold gasket is screwed... i previously had this problem before when the gasket broke... sucking in raw live air... the RPM shot up about 3K..
then i replce the gasket.. everything went down fine.... don't know if that's the actual cause as well.

these are all good things for me to check ..as for the throttle screws i adjusted the one in the bottom all the way to close and it just went down to like 3g..is there another set screw that i dont know about?

there should be 2 screws.... one is u screw it from the top... using a normal screw driver, and another is a tiny screw...but i believe the tiny screw doesn't affect until 3K rpm...
another thing for u to check is the TPS if it's WAY OUT it will give that issue...
else, also check the fuel map, try to lean it up and see if it helps to reduce the RPM..
lastly... check your manifold gasket. paper ones are prone to break after time..
