Power FC Is Stock Knock sensor worth relying on??
#2
I think I answered it myself thru some searching..
I'm starting to learn more about tuning and my other question is, can I log knock levels with datalogit?? I don't quite remember as last time I read datalogit manual was about a year ago.
Thanks

Another thing Ive learned is importance of using load bearing dynos.
They way I was going to go about was looking at other MAPS and see what kind of timing people are using. Then, get the a/f tuned in and fine tune the timing. I was going to datalog the knock and see if slight change in timing will show thru the knock.. I'm not sure it will....
Also, I need to take the cat out of my MB FD. The black one is still down but I'm going to take 3-4 days off during thanksgiving time to work on it.

Buy Chuck's notes, it has most of the learnings that Chuck and I distilled from the tuning savy folks before they bailed from to forum, plus most of the stuff that we developed on our own thru years of experimentation. I personally guarantee that it will save you loads of time in setup, troubleshooting, tuning, and if fully applied your driveability will be awesome.
Good luck, you'll love tuning.
