Power FC some PFC ????s
some PFC ????s
are the hand controlers vehicle specific?
mine doesnt show any reference to the leading and trailing ignition, nor the reading hsowing wha size injectors you have, as shown in manual I down loaded.
Also numerous screens once selected, you cant go back to the previous screen without turning the vehicle off and back on again.
Is the lag time refered to the time (in ms) listed next to the % you set when you have changed injectors? the manul suggest I should have a lag time of +0.04 (850 primaries)yet I can only select in the -ve?
currently the car is idling very lean (have seen 15.1 on LM1) and unstable althought wiht boost sensor on fire wall disconnect (forgot to hook it back up when I took manifold off to check for un plugged vacume feeds) it idled a lot better lol
Also, does the PFC required to have a reading for the OMP (I have removed it) and the fuel temp sensor (or is it a pressure sensor) in the factory 2nd fuel rail??
trying to get the car idling stable so we can test drive it. Just had full rebuild, change to 850 and 1600 injectors and new fuel pumps and reg etc, TO4z (change from previous K27) now it idles like a sack of **** and has a bit of a flat spot no doubt from the extreme lean situation (revs cleanly with the boost sensor disconnected).
if anyone in plain english can describe some settings to try AND the screne it is done on it would be much appreciated.
I am trying to get datalogit software but am unable to contact the guys, hopefully see them at a local drag meet this weekend.
cheers

Can you find the version number?
Post the PFC and Commander versions. Someone might have an answer for you.
As for me, I suspect there are incompatible versions. However, my experience is limited to the single box I have, so I can't prove anything.

Serial number on PFC ECU
PFC FD3S5 - 000 0109
when turned on the commander says:
13B REW Version 6.07 (my car is a 1997 S7)
FC Commander2
version 3.11
the serial number on the commander is FCC2 FN9910-0007
Ill be pissed if its the wrong one considering the nz importer of these things told be they are all the same (the commander)
thanks

now I have fitted my secondary 850 injectors into the primary position (mod fuel rail to suit) and have fitted bosch 1600s in the secondaries.
do I require any resisters or crap like that or will the PFC run these fine?
also what lag time (and ms values) should be set on the commander for the injector setting, if and when I find an commander that works?. If I dont and soon, to save buying datalogit i might just sell pfc and go to link.
what other things should I have changed in the settings to get it to run reasonably well (drivable) since changing from factory injectors?

well I have neither of those so better get them, thats resisters , datalogit or electronic skills lol
so what are the resisters I need? do they just wire in line with the injector power supply?
althought I think I will sell the power FC and go straight for the Link, by the time I buy datalogit software etc I could have sold the pwc, and commander and bought the Link. But in the mean time get it going with power fc until Link are back to work

what oms are these? Im in NZ and need some asap so need to know what I have to go and buy. I see there is a massive formula to work them out but will take me 5 hours to get my head into the right mode to decipher it lol.
I would have to assume there is a specific ohm resister that will do the job???

I'm sure a quick phone call would answer that question.
However, another option is to get a FJO injector driver module. I just bought 1600's and will probably go this route.
