That Belkin one looks much better than my cheepo, lol. AchillesGr I have found that I have to use the same USB port on my laptop, if I put it in another I have to mess about with drivers and stuff.
So you might have to use the port you set it up with.

the cheap ones suck, I think i use the IoGear one that Chuck recommends. once you install the software it works fine, but you are better off if you always plug it into the same USB port on the laptop.

The Belkin comes with a driver on CD. I switch ports all the time, never have any issues. Actually use several of them at the same time, DL , wideband , etc

I have the belkin one as well and I thought it worked fine until I started logging with it. It logs everything correctly except my auxilary wideband. I have an Innovate LC-1 wired into my Datalogit and everything works fine on the old laptop with a serial connector, but with the new laptop on the usb-serial converter it just always reports "13" or "14" as the value for my AFRs.

Have you ever seen this Banzai? Or have any idea as too why this might be?
