Power FC Sensor check

Sensor check

Can someone post or e-mail me a pic of what a sensor check screen looks like when all sensors are working and explain to me what the abbrev for the sensors are. I look at my sensor check screen and see all the sensors some have a hollow circle and a few are solid black circles. Engine was just rebuilt and I need to make sure all my sensors are working.

The only sensors that would be bad are ones that are completely highlighted. they have like a rectangle shaded square around them. the ones with little circles are mostly on off switches and if it has a circle it means its on. if not its off. I'll get the list of the sensors in a min

Oh. I don't have any rectangles. I didn't even see that mentioned in the manual. The switches I have are either on or off. I don't suppose you could tell me what normal voltage readings would be down the left column? The manual doesn't really have any useful info

The voltages will vary depending on what the car is doing. PIM is your map sensor with the car off key on the voltage will be higher then with the car running. Then as you go into boost the voltage will increase even more.

VTA1 and VTA2 is your TPS voltages and should be in a range depending on if you are at no throttle or full throttle.

Everything else is pretty obvious as well. OMP voltage will depend on how much load and the temperature of the engine. Then you have water, air and fuel temp which will increase or decrease depending on those temps.

A faulty sensor will show a box around it and either be at 0V or at peak voltage which for most sensors is 5v but i think show up as 4.99 volts. Like in my case i do not run the fuel temp sensor in my KG rail, so it shows a box around it.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I know my fuel is at 4.98v. I'll have to look into it.

really the fuel temp sensor isnt required. i think it only adjusts for the fuel temp above 60c. it should already be adjusting for intake temps and water temps by this time anyways. if you cant find an easy fix for it just unplug the sensor and just tune it like that. if u have the datalogit you can enter a 0 value where the fuel adjustment for fuel temp is. if not i wouldnt worry about it because the voltage value will not change so tune will be stable regardless.
