Retune? After Resistor Removal/Pump Wiring Mods

I removed the fuel resistor and rewired the pump for more voltage. I have recently been having problems with flooding. I am sure this is from the mods but I just wanted to see if others had to retune idle and cruise or had similar issues, when doing the wiring or resistor removal. Also what kind of percent change did you see, as I am extremely rich now.

Thanks

These two mods will cause every area of the fuel map to go richer.
Expecialy the idle and cruise areas.

Any ideas on how much? I can't currently measure my Wb02 as my sensor went out and my new one isn't in yet. I was just amazed at how rich it seemed to run just idling and moving the car around at the garage.

Really hard to say. On the FC, I have seen problems with rewired larger fuel pumps (like the Walbro) - it actually overran the fuel pressure regulator, giving higher fuel pressure across the board. On my old TII, I ran the HKS FCON for a while, and the fuel setup was SO rich the car ran HORRIBLY under boost - sputtering and breakup. Got an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator that let me set the base pressure, and the car ran great.

Might be worth finding out if you're running too much fuel pressure - if so, it might be worth upgrading to an FPR that you can set the base rate on. You don't necessarily have to get a huge Aeromotive one with AN fittings and all that jazz - the small SARD works just fine with stock fuel lines.

Speaking of, one idea I had was using a fuel pressure sender and have the output datalogged, instead of running a gauge. FJO has a 0-100 psi sender for the purpose -

That or something similar would be neat. I would like to monitor fuel pressure, but personally don't see the need for a permanent gauge in the cockpit. Typically once you have the fuel pressure setup viable (good pump, fuel pressure set right, fuel pressure staying consistent at all load levels) you don't need to worry about it unless you start making other changes.

I rewired my fuel pump via a relay using the ecu as a trigger.

There was no difference to afr's at cruise ONLY at WOT, as expected.

Unless your fuel pump has issues holding base idle off boost fuel rail pressure then logic states it is not going to affect your off boost afr's.

I did both the resistor and wiring mod so both idle/cruise and WOT should change, not just WOT. Raised the voltages to the pump under both condtions so it seems that if one changed the other should too.
