Removal of Split Air Solenoid ?
I am putting a new engine in and since I have it all apart and I splurged and got a new wiring harness I want to pull the solenoids rather than cutting the harness.
The EGR and DTC solenoids are no problem to pull but when I looked at the Split Air solenoid it seems that pulling it but leaving the ACV "air pump pressure relief solenoid" in place does not make much sence to me. I guess I don't understand how or if the PFC controls the relief solenoid but does not control split air. Any insight into this would be appreciiated. I searched on this and found info on the ACV's operation but it is still not clear.

I will try and reprase the question.
Can anyone explain how the PFC controls the ACV when the split air solennoid is disabled?
I know that PFC still controls the air pump. When the split air solenoid is disabled does all of the ait pumps output get directed to the cat or vented back to the air box rather than going into the exaust ports?
