Re initalised power FC question ?

I have been playing around with a frineds WRX scooby for a few days. I noticed that the airflow table is calibrated to 14.7:1. On his car this made setting the inj map up very easy and quick.

This question is hyperthetical but.................

If i had say a stock port FD and used the default fuel map could i add the correction factors in the same method to achieve a simailar result. I reaslise that zorst and intake mods make differances in the fuel map but i was thinking this might save some time.
My motivation for this is to create a smoother fuel map becasue mine tend to be a bit rocky. I some how came across one of chucks maps and the fuel map/curve is very smooth. I seem to find this hard to achieve.

The FD3S DL uses fuel Correction (% change) against the injector base fuel map.

The new universal has this function and also: by Lambda and your mentioned
AFR ratio based on 14.7.

Sorry Chuck. Im not sure what you mean by the new universal ?? do you mean the new universal software.

I just had a quick play with the default map. Howeva i didnt do a full re calc only used the base map. The car ideled very well but the afrs were not all i had hoped for....

I am just trying to improve my maps since yours are so damn smooth and drive very well.
That is the main differance i find.

The new Black DL box is made to be used with the new Universal software.
They are suppose to work with any PFC.

I have not tried to see if the new UNIV software will work with my old FD3S Beige box. The UNIV software does not offer me any improvements over my FD3S version. In fact, the UNIV still is being tested and the compare function does not work. It might still have other bugs.

Thanks Chuck...

I have now had a play with the new software. It looks good. I also think it will help me with my main question here. Which is how to make my fuel map better. i like the coloured cells in the base map. it really helps to define any problems... In a way you have helped me out LOL.

Now i just got get my maps as good as yours and kyles LOL..... sorry i was dreaming for a second there.... LOL

All the best Scott
